SEATTLE -- A man armed with what appeared to be a grenade was shot at the new federal courthouse in Seattle on Monday, police said.
The courthouse, at 7th and Stewart, is locked down and streets in the area are blocked off while police determine whether a threat remains.
Some people inside the 23-story courthouse have been evacuated.
A police spokeswoman said the man had weapons and was making threats before the shooting.
It wasn't immediately known who shot the man.
A member of a bomb squad in protective gear is entering the building."
